lead-free promise project

branding | website design | public relations | event planning | graphic and creative design | social media management: Facebook, Instagram, X

In 2021, kate & co. helped to conceptualize and bring to life the Lead-Free Promise Project – a nonpartisan coalition, advocacy campaign working to end lead paint poisoning across Pennsylvania, funded by the Pritzker Foundation. From creating the campaign name, brand, and web design to media relations and social media to event planning, we have worked with the now 80 coalition members to spread their message – and it’s getting noticed. In its first year, the campaign earned dozens of media hits, including an op-ed that was published in 11 newspapers across Pennsylvania as well as in USA Today, and secured a $10 million investment of American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to create a lead remediation fund for low-income homeowners and landlords to remove lead paint-based hazards from homes. kate & co. helped the campaign design and implement two essential resource guides and a screening guide for dissemination to physicians, families, and caregivers across the Commonwealth, and we are actively implementing a communications strategy to increase awareness and urge progress on the issue both inside and outside of Harrisburg.
